Prompt from nijibug: Toza helping Bolin practice earthbending
(I’m still doing anatomy exercises, which means Toza still loses his shirt. I’m so sad. Also, what is this mysterious photo reply option. Will I regret clicking it?)
I will forever bow to people who draw their comics digitally. I can’t manage a single clean line. It’s all wiggle wiggle wiggle at full size with a fun side serving of carpal tunnel. Good thing I work big.

I saw a well-muscled monk do this on a documentary I was watching about the Shaolin temple. Apparently he chopped cabbage on his chest/stomach for the temple kitchens every day for years. He was very fit. It was glorious.
Clearly Toza has little idea what to teach small children besides some vague notion of fathers telling their sons about manliness. Bolin’s totally eating it up but Mako’s a bit more skeptical.
I am still fully invested in the idea that Bolin outgrew Mako earlier in life and happily abused the situation until Mako got enough protein and calcium in his system to suddenly shoot up 10 feet plus a few inches of hair. Bolin didn’t adapt until Pabu arrived as his furry little wingman.
He’s chopping Chinese Cabbage, which is more commonly known in the US by the Japanese name ‘nappa’.
Look at me cleverly dodging around what element Toza might bend.
unf dat manliness
